About

Meet Austin Young, LCSW

I’m Austin Young, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with specialized training in eating disorder treatment (CBT-E certified), EMDR, and couples therapy using Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy approaches. I work with adults across California, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Idaho, and Wyoming — all via telehealth.

My work is fully private pay, which means no insurance networks, no prior authorizations, and no limitations on the care you receive. You get focused, evidence-based therapy tailored to you — not to what an insurer will reimburse.

Whether you’re struggling with an eating disorder, processing trauma, or wanting to repair your relationship, I bring clinical precision and genuine care to every session.

Good to know

Common Questions

A few things people often want to know before reaching out.

Private pay allows me to provide truly personalized care without insurance companies dictating session frequency, length, or treatment approach. Many clients find that the quality and flexibility of private pay therapy leads to faster, more lasting results. I can also provide a superbill upon request so you can seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance.

Research consistently shows telehealth therapy is equally effective as in-person for the conditions I treat — including eating disorders, trauma, and relationship issues. Many clients actually prefer it: no commute, no waiting room anxiety, and you can be in the comfort of your own space.

I'm currently licensed in California, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Idaho, and Wyoming. If you're not in one of these states, reach out anyway — I can sometimes provide consultation or help you find a qualified referral.

Each package includes a set number of 50-minute telehealth sessions tailored to your goals. Packages are paid upfront and include a complimentary 15-minute consultation to make sure we're the right fit before you commit. Unused sessions can be rescheduled with 48 hours notice.

I ask for 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows are charged the full session rate to respect everyone's time, including yours.

Click "Book a Consultation" or reach out at austinyoung88@gmail.com. We'll start with a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your goals, answer questions, and make sure we're a good fit. From there, we'll pick the right package and schedule your first session.
